Empathy

“Empathy is a stunning act of imaginative derring-do, the ultimate virtual reality-climbing into another’s mind to experience the world from that perspective.” A Whole New Mind Daniel Pink

I believe empathy is one of the single most important facet of understanding that we as educators must make an effort to inspire in our student’s. They are the future and we are responsible for them. Our fellow inhabitants on this planet increasingly depend on the compassion of human kind.

With that said…here’s my kitties!!! Peanut Butter (aka Cheeto), Jolly(aka Chuckles) and Lulu (aka Giant cat or Baby bear).

My dad had a pigeon coup when he was a kid. He and his friends trained and cared for pigeons. I continue this tradition by taking care of my neighborhood pigeons. Big shout out to The Wild Bird Fund and all they do for NYC birds.
