I love to cook. The kitchen is a home for me. I never imagined myself as a chef but I always enjoyed the skill that went into how a meal was prepared. That’s why I decided to embark on a new journey with food. December 2021, I enrolled in the prestigious Health Supportive Program at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE).

I struggled with the decision to make this move for over a year. With all the challenges Covid presented, it was time to shake things up.
I could not have done any of this without the love, support, creativity, hard work, tutelage and straight up non-stop laughter of my colleagues and teachers from ICE, Chef’s Nigel, Caroline, Marzaina, Olivia, Richard, Rich and Sean. Each class felt like a little miracle I got to marvel at. I miss you all and wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors.
Final Project
For our final cooking exam we had to improvise an entrée plate with a grain, protein, vegetable and a sauce. I got a 98.

Seasonal Dinner Project
The objective of this project is to give students an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of core professional competencies: menu planning, recipe development, recipe testing and execution of a balanced 4-course vegan dinner. My creation was a white lasagna in a béchamel sauce with tofu ricotta and spinach topped with a summer pesto vibe.
