“Here we go!
No…
No way!
No one
Gonna stop
Now go!…

I was ecstatic to wrap up the 2021 hybrid/remote school year. The experience was exhausting and demoralizing. There was not a single conversation with colleagues in all my travels that didn’t revolve around Covid, vaccines, and how hard it was to teach remotely.
Here are some of my notable projects for the year:
Install new VOIP phone system at Saint Saviour Catholic Academy.
Saint Saviour Catholic Academy had problems with their Avaya system. The school was expanding and needed to be able to add more phones. Avaya told them it would be costly and difficult. So I recommended ditching Avaya, purchasing the Polycom VVX 401’s and going with OnSip VOIP services. The decision was made and I procured all the equipment including a 48 port Unifi switch to accommodate all the VOIP phones.
After finishing the phone project I moved to cleaning up the Saint Saviour Catholic Academy server closet.

The pandemic has created chaos for technology planning. For the past two years everything i’ve ordered from Chromebooks to Promethean boards have, in some cases, taken over six months to be delivered. I’ve installed five Promethean boards in the past month (December) alone that I ordered in August of 2021.
